MoneyGram Pledges Donation to American Red Cross for Transactions Sent to Areas Affected by Hurricane Sandy

Select agents including ACE Cash Express and Advance America Cash Advance Centers to partner with MoneyGram on Relief efforts

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 6, 2012-- In support of Hurricane Sandy recovery efforts, MoneyGram (NYSE:MGI), a leading global money transfer company, announced today a series of measures to help the American Red Cross relief services. MoneyGram will make a $1 donation per transaction up to $200,000 to the American Red Cross for each money transfer sent in November to areas impacted by Hurricane Sandy.

Select MoneyGram U.S. network agents, including ACE Cash Express and Advance America, will join the company in matching an additional dollar for each qualifying money transfer made from their locations to the affected areas, which include New Jersey, Southern New York, Connecticut and Eastern Pennsylvania.

MoneyGram is also waiving the transaction fee for customers who make donations to the American Red Cross using its ExpressPayment® service.

Donations to the American Red Cross can be made at any MoneyGram location or via online by providing the following billing code #3825 to waive the transaction fee.
