Grants to support educational opportunities
The MoneyGram Foundation makes grants to support educational opportunities for children around the world, including expanding access to educational facilities and availability of learning resources. The foundation's grants are awarded solely for charitable purposes.
Grants are awarded quarterly to organizations identified by the foundation. The MoneyGram Foundation provides funding for specific initiatives designed to expand educational opportunities for children. The MoneyGram Foundation does not accept unsolicited applications.
Eligibility requirements for grant seekers
To be eligible for funding consideration, organizations must:
- Serve the community without discrimination on the basis of age, color, citizenship, disability, disabled veteran status, gender, race, religion, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, military service or status.
- Qualify as tax-exempt public charities. The MoneyGram Foundation will obtain sufficient documentation from the organization to establish U.S. tax-exempt status or its international equivalent.
The MoneyGram Foundation does not provide funding for individuals, political causes, cultural or arts awareness, athletic or sports programs, or religious organizations, unless the particular program will benefit a large portion of a community without regard to religious or political affiliation and serve our core focus of academic education for children.
